I heard that Visual Studio comes with an image library, but I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know where this is?
In VS 2008 they are under:
PROGRAMMING \ Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0 \ Common7 \ VS2008ImageLibrary \ 1033
In Visual Studio 2012, icons can be downloaded separately from Visual Studio:
The library contains images of applications that appear in Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Windows, the Office system, and other Microsoft software.
Download was not initially available when starting Visual Studio 2012.
Visual Studio 2010:
PROGRAMMING \ Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0 \ Common7 \ VS2010ImageLibrary \ 1033 \ VS2010ImageLibrary.zip
Unzip and enjoy
Visual Studio 2005:
C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Microsoft Visual Studio 8 \ Common7 \ VS2005ImageLibrary \ VS2005ImageLibrary
VS2012 Modern Image Library
Microsoft published 3/13/2013 about Visual Studio Image Library Version 2012 and you can download it from the page
