Google recently published a new version of its Google Maps, which allows you to save an offline version of a specific fragment of the map. At the same time, I am playing with creating an Android application that uses the Google Maps API, and I'm just wondering ... is it possible to somehow get this offline map and get my application to use it? So my application doesn’t need an internet connection?
I know that OpenStreetMap is an alternative, but I do not think that it will work with the project that I have in mind.
