JFFS2 runs on raw flash, and not on devices such as USB sticks that have firmware that makes them look like traditional drives. The original NAND flash can erase (i.e. set the bit to 1) in very large blocks. “Erase block” is the size of the block that the device can erase.
See /proc/mtd to find out what your system thinks the size of each block erases the device. (To use / proc / mtd and for JFFS2, you need an MTD device (a device with memory technology, i.e. Raw flash).)
