Android Emulator: both soft entry and hard keyboard input

Question

I would like to have both soft input and hard keyboard included in my Android virtual device. I know how to have either, but not BOTH .

The reason BOTH is required at the SAME time:

• Soft input: preview of how the layout resizes when the screen is scaled down with the key

• hard keyboard: obviously fast typing.

Go to the AVD manager tab, then select the appropriate AVD, then open the “hardware menu” by clicking on the new button and select the keyboard support option to enable the hardware keyboard.
