No supported formats in PHP / ImageMagik / imagick

Question

I installed pecl-imagick from FreeBSD ports and it cannot do anything with images.

phpinfo () reports this:

ImageMagick number of supported formats: 0 ImageMagick supported formats: no value

But ImageMagick is installed correctly and will show all of this:

 $ convert -list configure ... DELEGATES bzlib fftw fontconfig jpeg jng lzma png zlib ...

What could be wrong and how to fix it?

I found that having an extension for GraphicsMagick (the "enhanced" fork) caused this.

Have you installed PHP from ports? Update the ports and reinstall the packages.
