I recently moved an App Engine application from a master / slave data store to a highly replicated data store. This created two applications (using sample application names):
myapp myapp-hd
And myapp.appspot.com aliases to myapp-hd.appspot.com. My question is: is it safe to remove the original myapp application now? And if I uninstall myapp, will the alias continue to work?
Yes, you can delete the old application identifier, and the alias will continue to work. Before deleting it, make sure that you no longer want it, since this application identifier will disappear forever.
