Editing screenshots in iTunes Connect after approving iOS app

In the iTunes Connect app management interface - how do I edit screenshots for my localized (approved and live) iPhone app?

Unfortunately, there was an error in the upload web form that actually required the screenshots to be provided in the reverse order (I provided them in the correct order, which meant that Apple changed them and now they turned out to be wrong). stack overflow . I managed to edit only 4 screenshots in the US version, but not in my localized version, but in the old interface.

Apple support has now returned with a (somehow not too satisfactory) answer:

If your application is currently being sold on the App Store, you will need to send an update to modify your application screenshots.

If you have further questions regarding this, please let us know.

The current value of this parameter has changed to:

Starting January 9th [2013], application screenshots will be locked in iTunes Connect after approving your application. New screenshots can be downloaded when sending a binary file to update an existing application or a new application.

I was able to change my screenshots after my application was ready for sale, just click "View Details" in iTunes Connect, delete the old screenshots and replace them, then "Finish". The change is not instantaneous, so wait a bit. Then you will see new screenshots in the AppStore;)

Today, it seems you can’t edit screenshots after sending the new version. I tried everything, but could not remove the screenshots of the projects until, finally, I remove my application from the view.

I usually use post-post time to edit and improve screenshots, but now I need to do this before posting. This is a terrible change. Here is a letter of support.

It is not possible to edit screenshots right now, while the application is in the "Waiting for Overview", expected behavior.

The documentation provided by the developer currently contains a Pending Review list as a state in which locked metadata can be edited. Screenshots should only be locked metadata, which cannot be edited while the application is in the "Pending Validation" status.

We are currently updating refining developer resources and documentation.

From the updated manual: (*)

If you have new application screenshots for your application version, it is best to wait until this new version of your application is approved before updating your screenshots in iTunes Connect. Updating them to version approval will change the screenshots for the current version of the application. This best practice also applies to metadata changes for applications that you want to coordinate for a specific version.

On the other hand, the table in Appendix A indicates that the screenshots are Locked, Version-level (p. 153).

Version Level:

If an item is marked in a version, the details information will relate to a specific version and may vary depending on the version.

Blocked by:

If an item is marked as locked, it can only be edited in an editable state.

And a list of editable states: Preparing for download, waiting for download, waiting for viewing, waiting for export to match, loading received, rejection, developer failure, invalid binary file, missing screenshot.

None of these conditions can be achieved after the application is ready for sale using any button in iTunes Connect. The only reasonable thing I can think of is to introduce another lower version for Apple and look for the possibility of changing screenshots during the submission process.
The problem is (*):

If you have new application screenshots for your application version, it is best to wait until this new version of your application is approved before updating your screenshots in iTunes Connect.

So how can I do it right ????????

I thought the same thing a couple of days ago. Then I downloaded it again in reverse order, but instead it was random. They need to make a better interface for this. One where we don’t even need to reload them, but arrows to move up / down.

The official answer I received from Apple:

Screenshots of your application cannot be changed after the approval of your application. You can edit them in all other editable states.

Please note that when you upgrade your application, you will now be able to provide new screenshots, and new screenshots will not be displayed live until the update is approved.

If you have further questions about this, let us know.

There were some possibilities and possibilities to change screenshots of the application in the state "Ready for sale", without the need to download new binary files. At some point, this was possible, but as of January 9, 2013, he needed a new binary:

Starting January 9, application screenshots will be blocked in iTunes Connect as soon as your application is approved. New screenshots can be downloaded when you send a binary file to update an existing application or a new application. For more information on capturing and using screenshots, read the Xcode User Guide.

Images can be edited after the app is available for sale. This was changed at the end of 2010. If you already have 5 images, the download link will not work until you delete it. No need to worry - if you delete it and you have any problems with the DPI or RGB of what you are trying to download (receive an error message or reject), you can always click “cancel” rather than “save” and the original Images will remain.

You do not need to add a new version. Wait about 1 hour, and your changes in the screenshot gallery will appear in the AppStore.

The solution for me was to use Safari. Controls will not appear in Google Chrome. Using Safari, I could change the metadata.
