Is it possible to downgrade IIS Express 8 & # 8594; IIS Express 7.5 using VS2012

We plan to move VS2010-> VS2012.

When installing VS2012, IISExpress 8 is installed by default. It seems that there is no way to disable this option.

Our production environment uses IIS7.5, so it would be desirable from a diagnostic point of view to maintain version compatibility between development and development environments.

Is there a way to downgrade from IISExpress 8 -> IISExpress 7.5 when using Visual Studio 2012

There is an alternative in IIS forums:

Question: *

Is it possible to install Visual Studio 2012 and exclude IIS Express 8.0 from the installation package? It is not specified as a custom parameter in the AdminDeployment.xml file.

Answer:

Yes, you can. You can try to remove IIS Express 8.0 by adding or uninstall the Windows component in Control Panel. Go to "Programs and Features" in Control Panel, then uninstall "IIS 8.0 Express."

Question:

Can I remove IIS Express 8 and reinstall IIS Express 7.5 after the fact?

Answer:

In my opinion, you can reinstall it. However, you need to make sure that it was installed in the next versions of Windows that IIS 7.5 Express supports.

Windows 7 Windows Server 2008 Windows Server 2008 R2 Windows Vista SP1 or later Windows XP SP3 Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 Both 32-bit and 64-bit systems are supported, but only the 32-bit IIS 7.5 Express build exists.
