Chrome Extension History API

I am writing a chrome extension that should analyze the recent browsing history for a specific tab. The chrome.history API allows me to search for elements in a global history, but apparently does not allow me to localize the results on a specific tab. Am I missing something, or is it impossible to get?

I think you are looking at the navigation API . Chrome history is not associated with a specific tab. If you want to use or remove a navigation item from a tab’s history, you can use the history search function with navigation information.
