What do the different color bars in the query editor menu in SSMS mean?

EDIT: I meant the yellow and green areas of the scroll bar.

Blue - SQL keywords - query specification components Pink - Functions Grey - SQL predicates Black - table/column names/aliases

Colored bars on the left next to line numbers are displayed next to lines that have been changed since the file was opened:

 Yellow - Changed lines that have not been saved Green - Changed lines have already been saved
