What is the best way to integrate ExpressionEngine members with MailChimp?

I am developing a site that uses FreeMember to handle user registration, registration, and profile updates. We want to offer users a newsletter subscription when creating an account, as well as the ability to (un) subscribe by updating their EE profile.

Is there an add-in that handles this functionality? I tried to configure MailChimp Subscribe , but it does not allow updating subscriptions using FreeMember.

Any advice is appreciated.

Robon Sobral has a fork of FreeMember that adds support for renewing a subscription when a user updates their profile. This patch solved my problems.

Look at Devot-ee http://devot-ee.com/search/results?keywords=mailchimp&collection=addons&addon_version_support=ee2 , there are several options.

Stephen Lewis recently opened his add-ons, so his mailchimp add-on can be found on github here https://github.com/experience/mailchimp_subscribe.ee_addon

Take a look at our latest incremental postmaster. This is much more than integration with MC. It focuses on providing 1 add-on for all mail services. You can create email campaigns simply by creating new feed entries. You can create any number of templates and options to have truly complex and dynamic interactions. He works with Safecracker and regularly posts.

But speaking directly about MC integration, it also has autonomous subscription tags (both a tag and an autonomous form). You can get a list of subscribers and even unsubscribe from tags and a separate form. All this integration works with both MC and CampaignMonitor with the same tags (same syntax).

The next version (v1.2) has been completed and is currently in beta, which includes support for CartThrob and any other EE hook. For example, now you can send all system letters using Mandrill or SendGrid. We had many clients who complained that their receipts (sent from EE using CartThrob) were sent to spam, or they were never received. We solved this problem with Postmaster by redirecting these letters to the appropriate service (SendGrid in our case), which has a reliable delivery system with reports and analytics. You can even do things like send emails when a specific group of participants register on the site.

We took a fundamentally different approach than all other add-ons, and tried to provide a much more abstract utility that can solve many complex problems. I would be happy to answer any specific questions directly (just use the contact form on my website).
