Expressionengine will not display all entries

Question

I am trying to display a list of retailers on a client site. The filtered list (by state) is displayed correctly, but not in the "show all" list. Items that are not in the "show all" list are displayed in the filtered list, so I know that this is not a problem with the entries themselves.

I checked the states - everything seems to be correct, and I checked that dynamic = no is set.

What am I missing?

By default, ExpressionEngine sets a limit of 100 records, so without a set of limit parameters, it matches

{exp:channel:entries channel="news" limit="100"} 

To display all your entries, set a maximum limit:

 {exp:channel:entries channel="news" limit="999"} 

This should have all your notes!

I use limit = "1,000,000" to make sure.
