Facebook subscription button gives "inability to subscribe"

Question

I added the facebook subscription button to my site, but when I click on it, the subscription button is replaced by the "Error" hyperlink, which (when clicked) gives "Unable to subscribe." We were unable to create this subscription. "The hyperlink includes the query parameter" code = 1529001 "if that helps.

I tried this error, but I can't seem to find it at all.

The page I'm trying to subscribe to allows subscribers (I turned it on in the settings). In addition, the “data-href” attribute of the subscribe button does indicate a valid facebook page URL.

Any ideas?

I also had this problem, but then I found that the “Follow” button can only be used for personal Facebook accounts, and not for Facebook pages (for enterprises, organizations, websites, etc.). Perhaps this is the reason for your mistake?

If this is the case, unfortunately, it seems that there is no parallel replacement - a much larger and more comprehensive Like Box is offered for the pages.

You can use the social button "Like" (not "Like Box"), it works the same way as "Follow" has only other text.
