How to stop logcat from scrolling in Android Studio

I used Eclipse before, and I could easily stop logcat from scrolling, but I cannot find the same functionality in Android studio. Does anyone know how to do this?

There is no dedicated button for this, but you can just click / select any text around where you want to stop scrolling.

Android Studio has this feature enter image description here

you just click on the line three times and you can select the line, it will stop scrolling.

I had the same problem. A simple solution:

In the Android monitor on the right, select No filtersShow only selected application .

I actually had a problem (in 1.2.2) where I could not keep it from scrolling. I tried all the tricks and the correct methods mentioned here, but it continued to scroll from under me.

It turns out that there was a problem connecting to the emulator, which has long been disabled, and he continued to try again. And every time this was done, he rebooted everything , causing logcat to update. So it wasn't a REALLY scroll, it just felt like it was due to how big the buffer was.

I turned off my physical device (which was run with the emulator), restarted Android Studio, reconnected the physical device and shot, it no longer saved the "scroll".

Hope this can help someone else. Because I was upset for a while there.

Kindness, trick is to seek. Find something in LogCat and then the scrolling will stop. Tested: Android Studio 1.1.0 works against a real device (S5). In addition, there was a ticking of one line and one back, until I right-clicked. Then he stopped completely. After that, I can delete the search, and scrolling is no longer automatic.
