Support mediaelement.js HLS

Question

Does mediaelement.js support HLS? I followed this very simple example that claims to support HLS. I also found this thread, also requiring HLS support, indicating the importance of mimes. However, I could not get any of my streams or any patterns that I could find on the Internet to play. Are there any requirements for browsers, OS, or mime to make this work?

You need to make some changes to the library. You can check my changes. Just adding m3u8 to the supported formats, it works great. https://github.com/sourcebits-harshitakasera/mediaelement-and-player-v2 This seems to work for me.
