Well, as far as I know, you have two search methods in the App Store:

There are many differences between the ones that are most important for your example: with the Search API you cannot sort the results as they are sorted by relevance, and this always requires a search query. RSS feed generator

Given this, I'm going to start answering your question for.

You use the RSS feed generator to create these feeds for the 100 best free games in the US store:; Take the booty in to get the subtitles of the games; You are using a library for RSS analysis, which already contains information about the application. You can use the initWithContentsOfUrl: for NSXMLParser; A quick guide for this part can be found.

You can also use it to get information about applications by their identifier or to show a modal view controller with a specific application, but for which an additional network request will be required.

For completeness, I will also talk about how you can use.

Use to create the URL that describes your search: This URL allows you to search for applications matching "angry birds" -. Process the results using. This already includes application details. Take the booty in how to use it.

In the end, as @Numan said, these two methods do different things. You said that you want to have the 100 best games from a certain category, and also said that you need to look for a specific game.

You can use my descriptions to create one class that interacts with the application store in these two ways, and return the object you defined that describes the application (or an array of objects).
