Error message "Module name error: clr.dll" when starting an application based on Microsoft.NET Framework 4

Question

I have an application that works fine until I switch to Dot net framework 4. Now that I install and open my application, it crashes with the error message below.

I did some search queries and found out that we are not the only one who faces this problem. then I found this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2640103 which talks about the Dot net framework 4 problem and suggests installing a fix that resolves this problem. The problem is that? I could not figure out where to get the fix they are talking about.

I downloaded and installed it, but the same error still occurs. I am installing the correct fix. Please guide me.

I'm too worried about this problem with the .NET 4.0 CLR.DLL (XP only). the fix mentioned in the OP question really helped. Here's how to get it:
