I use the HTML5 <video> to play videos on a local network from different computers. In my current setup, I have a server that provides an html page and all the videos that I want to play. There are several computers that need to play these videos by loading the html page. In general, this is already working. But sometimes after some time, playing the video, the console tells you not to download the resource , and playback stops immediately. I think it could be some kind of timeout on my local network, and I had the idea to play the video locally, i.e. Copy all videos to each computer and just provide html on the server. Then the html server, just links to file://.../ .
but , when I tried this approach on the server, the video stopped every few seconds and it wasn’t buffered at all. It was impossible to watch the video. Videos - * .mp4; I run chrome on all win7, Server XAMPP computers.
Is there a way to catch the error of not loading a resource or a way to play local videos in reasonable quality?
Have you had such problems yet?
