The best cross-platform development tool for iPhone and Android

I know that such questions have been asked many times already,
but today, when you have so many choices, I really need the advice of someone who already has cross-platform development experience.

I plan to develop several applications for Android and iOS. Applications will need to store data on the device, use a calendar, send e-mail, talk to remote servers. As you can see, there is nothing special here.

I found a pretty long list of platforms:

Corona ( Supported Features)
Moscrif
Icenium
Appcelerator
PhoneGap ( Supported Features )
Titanium
etc

Some of these platforms are free and some are subscriptions. At the moment, I want to try a free and well-documented platform using HTML5, JavaScript, Java or C #.
I will be glad to hear recommendations and opinions.

  • RhoMobile is a solution using Ruby, especially loved by the developers of Ruby on Rails. (Free for non-commercial applications only, prices vary)

  • Appcelerator - This is a solution that allows you to develop your own applications with HTML / Javascript (run through UIWebView on iPhone). (Free)

  • PhoneGap - Like in Appcelerator, I mentioned these two, as they seem to have the most vibrant communities, and most have extensive support. (Free)

  • WidgetPad are good tools for developing cross-platform tools. Of these, I would prefer Phonegap for iOS and Android Development.

Edit - Why I Prefer Phonegap

Phonegap is a platform for deploying your web mastery across multiple platforms.

The phone curtain just made in the UIWebView control and PhoneGap JavaScript APIs, your js calls are routed to your own APIs.

Phonegap Benefits:

  • Build your app once with web standards
  • Wrap it with PhoneGap
  • Deploy multiple platforms!

I think you can say that is better. Everyone has a pros and cons. I checked some tools. Phonegap: He is very powerful and has a large community. Phonegap is supported by Adobe. But the maximum size of the local database is limited.

I also tested Adobe Air. To do this, the user needs Air uptime. If you use Adobe flashbuilder, you have a good IDE.

etc.etc .....

I love other meanings and tips.

Yours faithfully

@EvZ, it's not a matter of finding the best among these cross-platform development tools. Each tool has its own strengths for creating applications on multiple platforms.

If you want to use these tools, you can search on Google and decide which one is best for your application. no one can directly evaluate what is good. Based on your coding skills, you can use any.

For example: Phonegap is best for designers. Because it looks like JavaScript and HTML like
