Samsung Galaxy S3 does not appear in eclipse, but in device manager?

I know that many people reported almost the same problem, but I have not yet found a solution.

I have eclipse installed.

  • Kies installed on my computer to get the ADB driver for the phone.
  • I see ADBdriver on Vista.
  • I put the galaxy in developer mode and USB troubleshooting mode.
  • The phone is detected in Windows Vista. I see this in Windows Explorer.
  • If I run adb devices from "cmd", it lists my phone.

But does he not appear in the eclipse? I tried reinstalling the drivers a couple of times without success.

Please, help.

First off, I'm brand new to application development. I installed Eclipse, an add-on, a plug-in, sdk, etc., and follow the book “Android for Developers, Application Based Approach” in the Deitel Developer Series.

I had the same problem ... I could run the sample application in AVD, but my phone did not appear in the Android Device Chooser. Eclipse will not see my connected phone, so I tried to run "adb devices" from the command line in:

C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Android \ android-sdk \ platform-tools \

No devices appeared. I guaranteed that Galaxy is in developer mode with a verified USB driver.

I could see the Samsung Galaxy S3 in Windows Explorer, and the device manager showed a warning with the driver in the "Other devices" section. I tried "Update Automatically", but it failed.

I went to this address: http://www.samsung.com/ca/support/model/SGH-I747MBABMC

I downloaded KIES. The installation took some time (about 10 minutes) ... he said that he was installing HotFix. Finally, I was asked to select items to install on KIES. I chose all three to be safe (Unified Driver Installer, Video Conversion Codec and Kies Air Message). It took another minute or two.

When Kies came up, he said "please connect the device." I have done it. Cues switched to the "connection" screen. After a while, the device manager correctly pointed "SAMSUNG Android Phone" to "SAMSUNG Android ADB Interface device under it" (I assume that the driver was installed by Kies, which caused the device manager to update). Kies still said “Connect”, but it continued, so I didn’t close Kies (the device manager seemed to indicate that everything was working now, and “adb devices” was working)

Now he has appeared in Eclipse.

Looks like I needed Kies and he fixed the problem.

Hope this helps others.

Worked on my S3 using Android 4.3
1. Download Kies 3 from http://www.samsung.com/us/kies/
2. Run it
3. Go to Tools > Reinstall Device drivers
4. My phone suggested that I allow USB debugging
=> Device appeared in Eclipse "Select Android device"

I followed these steps to get it working:

  • Installed Kies → Click on Tools and 'Install Driver'
  • For device manager, right-click on the USB device for the mobile device and paste

This topic followed and made it work. This is initially not the case. Some points are not mentioned. 1. At work, it shows in the device manager as "Samsung Android Phone" 2. Initially, this manifested itself as unauthorized. You need to go to the phone and turn on the pop-up message.

Other things I've tried. 1. In Regedit, I removed all devices connected to the USB hklm / system / mount devices 2. In Kies, I reinstalled the drivers. tools / 3. After installation, Kies did Windows Update. Nothing new 4. On the device in the settings / general / development options, I checked "Show all ANR" 5. In the settings / General / Security, I turned off "unknown sources"

I'm not sure if any of them had an effect, but took 5 minutes and it worked. Go figure ....

Warning to remove installed devices. He switched my d: and e: discs, which confused me.

Using regedit delete hklm \ system \ mountdevices (rather than hard drives) worked for me. After installing KIES, I connected my device. I went to the device manager, and my phone was in others with a warning sign. When I looked at the properties, he said that device drivers were not installed. In the device manager, I clicked on driver updates using the Internet.

Modified.

At KIES, I clicked on driver update tools. He told me to delete my phone. I did and continued. After the update, I reinserted the phone.

There are no changes, the device manager said that there were errors with the installed drivers.

I deleted the device. dos prompt, regedit, go to hklm / system / installeddevices and remove all accept hard drives. accepted warning.

I re-entered my phone and clicked on the device manager. My phone was there without errors, "SAMSUNG Android phone / SAMSUNG Android ADB Interface".

I started an eclipse and clicked on the device, and my phone was there with a question mark and the word "unauthorized". I went to the phone and unlocked and received a message on how to trust this computer and check the "always" checkbox.

Everything was fine, turned around, working and working.

I also had a problem with my windows 8.1, just like yours. my ordinary job with kies. but I solved it.

several times my problem worsened when windows did not find my Galaxy s3 even in Explorer! I first fixed this problem by installing the "Media Feature Pack for N and KN versions of Windows 8.1" from this link: here

but for your main problem i find the Wondershare MobileGo app. with this, you can see your phone on the choser device eclips screen and you can run your applications on it.

You can find it from here!

if any buddy finds a better way, let me know.
