CSS only custom checkbox in IE8

Question

I found Custom CHECKBOX and RADIO from link , but could not find it in IE8.

Can I use the below properties that work in IE8?

: after
: before
.big-radio: tag marked + : after

Please let me know.

ie8 does not support :checked . You can add a class and rewrite rule as follows:

.big-radio.checked + label:after
