Chrome theme: how do I change the text color of a URL when I hover over a link on a web page?

I am very new to developing Chrome themes. Everything went well, but when I hover over the link, the URL displayed at the bottom left is not readable due to the font color! How to change font color?

The color of the status bar is inferred from the color of the toolbar , and the color of its text is from tab_text . Well, that was in Chrome 6, but Im pretty sure that one color comes from a different color and still it doesn't matter. Take a look at an old document that lists these things ....

... as I said, I did not update it in age (Chrome 6), but these things should still be the same.

Here is the updated answer:

I found that some themes created in Chrome apps like the My Chrome theme create JSON for the toolbar. By default, it gives transparency, for example: "toolbar":[228,228,228, 0.6],

You need to delete the last number, which is alpha. So it looks something like this: "toolbar":[228,228,228],

Now it works great. Enjoy it!

Add color to the <a> tag in CSS or inline style.

a {color: # FF0000; text-decoration: none; }

  a:hover { color:#00FF00; text-decoration:none; cursor:pointer; }
