Where do you get print fonts in zebra format for preview?

I print shortcuts with a Zebra printer using Java by sending ZPL II commands. I want to show a preview of the tag before sending it to the printer.

Instead of sending fonts to the printer, I would like to use the built-in fonts.

I see a list of fonts on page 60 of volume 2 of the programming guide . There are 15 of them, each of which is marked with a single letter and does not contain a link to the name of the equivalent screen font.

I can create an image to display a barcode, but it’s hard for me to figure out how to display text correctly, because outside the OCR fonts I don’t know the equivalent font to use the screen.

I have not found any documentation that lists them on the Zebra website, and my search returns results on how to send screen fonts to a printer (which looks complicated enough for me to avoid at the moment).

Does anyone know where I can get the fonts, or could you provide me with a list of (hopefully free) equivalents?

I took a screenshot of the fonts displayed in the manual for reference.

After much research, I found that the fonts Zebra uses are tightly protected due to licensing.

Contacting Zebra to obtain a font license is your only option.

The alternative that I am currently using is to preview the label using a free, true-width monospaced font (which I have not yet selected). The document that I linked in my question provides information on sizes and spacing for embedded fonts so that I can emulate as close as possible.

Zebra fonts other than 0 are bit fonts with fixed widths. The courier should give you a reasonable approximation. Just scale them using the table in the Zebra manual. ZPL-zbl2-m-en.pdf
