How to configure pgAdmin III to open the default database and select node tables at startup?

In 99% of cases when I run pgAdmin III, I need to look at the tables of one specific database. Very annoying to click on a tree every time. When I open pgAdmin, I would like it to automatically connect to my last database and expand the tree on the left and select the β€œtables” node.

Is it possible?

Which is also annoying when I rename a column, the selection of the node tree is lost, and I need to open the whole tree again.

There is a related option: Restore env . He is the default.

Open the context menu for the (closed) connection and go to the "Advanced" tab. I quote the pgAdmin 1.16 manual here :

"Restore env?" The option determines whether pgAdmin will attempt to restore the browser environment when reconnecting to this server. If you regularly use different databases on the same server, you can disable this feature.

It does not fix one particular state forever, but opens again where you left. Since you are in the same place 99% of the time, this should work fine for you.

The second problem (the browser that loses focus after changing the DDL) is the error of the current version for everyone that I know.

Update current version:

In pgAdmin 4, if you disconnect from the server and go to the "Advanced" tab, you can enter the database name in the "Database restriction" field. This will populate the navigation list with only those databases that will be connected in the future.
