Gradient along the path

Is it possible to create something like this in inkscape? I searched and tried for some time, but so far no results ...

So, I'm looking for a gradient that follows the direction of the path to which it is applied.

I don’t know about a solution that perfectly suits your needs, but here is one approach to closing:

  • Draw a line, open the Fill and Stroke dialog box, and set the stroke width ( Stroke style tab) to 50. Convert the stroke to path ( Path > Stroke to Path ).
  • Fill the path with a linear gradient ( Fill and Stroke dialog> Fill > Linear gradient ) and select any colors you like.
  • Select the node tool (F2), and a line appears that stretches the area of your shape (marked with an exclamation mark in the image below). Setting this line can help you fine tune the gradient (however, strictly speaking, it will not follow the path, but a rectangle defined by a marker for the beginning and end of the selected line).

This should work for simple forms that do not change. Let me know if this is enough or you need more detailed instructions.
