Apache MINA vs netty for Android

Here is a very informative comparison between MINA and netty in. I would like to know your preferences when the Android platform!

  • I have a host that should accept connections and also establish connections to Android devices.
  • This host implements Boost.ASIO for its operations. And I need to select a simple structure for the android side.
  • Based on a couple of hours of googling , I, quite new to java, narrowed down to MINA and netty . Both seemed pleasant, although the netty seemed to be easier.
  • I got confused when I read a couple of error messages about using netty in android.

  • The number of Android emulators connecting to the host can grow to a large number.

So the question is simple: which is better to use: netty or MINA?

By the way, any other framework to offer?

I appreciate your kind comments and answers. Thanks you

I believe that John Watt, it will "read and check," I read about both, but it seems that no one is better than the other, just the other, with its pros and cons.

Look for a project like yours to make your task easier if there are many projects for network use, and vice versa, with MINA. So try what you prefer, that’s it.
