Increase productivity by using bulk inserts versus regular inserts in MongoDB

What is a performance increase through the use of bulk inserts against regular inserts in MongoDB and pymongo. Are bulk inserts just a wrapper for regular inserts?

Bulk inserts are not wrappers for regular inserts. The bulk insert operation contains many documents sent as a whole. It saves as many flights as possible on databases. It is much more efficient since you do not need to send each document over the network separately.
