Range Slider in Java

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had heard of a Java component that provides a range slider. A slider, that is, with two knobs that determine the range in min max values, and not just one.

I found JRangeSlider on the perfusion library online, but I have two problems.

At first (and this is not important), it has its own visual style and does not change or mix with the appearance used.

The second (and really important for my application) is that when you set Enable (false), nothing happens on it !! You can use the slider. The reason I want to disable it is because at some point in my program, I start a new thread that changes the value that affects the range slider. I want to just turn off the slider while my thread is running, and turn it on after that.

Any thoughts?

I believe that you are using an earlier version of RangeSlider. If you still need this, please check the latest version. Here is a screenshot from this under a different look. As for the look is not so good, we now use the same look and JSlider L & F that you use. The screenshot is shown below under Windows 7, Mac OS X Aqua, Windows XP and Metal respectively.

JIDE has an open source RangeSlider in its Common Layer . You can try downloading the JIDE website demo .

I'm not sure what the look of your application is ... but you can always give BiSlider a shot:

I don’t know about anything other than the one mentioned, but the suggestion about your second problem would be to change the model to a static model (with appropriate values) while disabling it. Thus, it will be guaranteed not to be updated. When you turn it on, remember to return it to the original model.
