WooCommerce - Disable Delivery for Downloadable Purchases

Question

I just founded an online store based on Woocommerce, and so far I am very satisfied, but I came across something that is not necessarily a criminal, although this annoys the client.

In a certain context: the store is intended for my group website and sells both physical and digital media, collecting shipping information for physical media is important, but this is an optional step if the customer purchases only digital media.

I searched, but no luck, is there a way to turn off delivery if all the items in the user's cart are digital downloads?

Go to WooCommerce => Settings => Delivery => Shipping and uncheck the box "Collect delivery address, even if it is not required."

According to the code, if all elements are "virtual", delivery is not required. If you have checked the box above, it ignores whether the items in the cart are physical or virtual, and they require a delivery address.

1) Enabling Delivery in WooCommerce (formerly)

You need to login:

WooCommerce > Settings > General > Shipping Location(s) (selector) to select the delivery behavior for your e-commerce:

Then save. a new Delivery tab will appear in WooCommerce settings (in products too).

2) To disable delivery for a downloadable product

In the edit mode of the product page in the Product Data section, you must add enable :

• Downloadable checkbox (since this product can be downloaded logically).
• Virtual flag (since this product will not be sent, logically too)

When you enable the virtual flag, the delivery tab setting disappears.

Then update the downloadable product.

Now, if you add this downloadable (virtual) product to the basket and go to checkout , the address or delivery for this product will NOT be sent there .
