There is a web design trend that I see more and more on the sites I come across. The fact is that I do not know what he officially named, so I do not know how to search for a topic on websites or blogs. I would like to find textbooks and articles regarding tips and best practices, but I have not found them and do not know how people call this design style.
Basically, it has a long front page (or inner pages) with a large number of horizontal sections with large images and text. This is similar to single page sites, but it is not one page. This is similar to Parallax, but in fact it does not use the parallax effect (not necessary, at least). It also blends very closely with a responsive design, as it shares this long vertical format designed for lots of scrolling.
A few examples of what I mean: www.marketo.com, www.ginzametrics.com, www.kinhr.com
I would appreciate any help finding the official name of this, if any, as well as any related articles or resources. Thanks!
