Why does Bootstrap 3 popup not work in IE8?

Question

The bootstrap 3 dropdown does not work in IE8, I don't know why, any help on this. some say because BS added a CSS filter property

bootstrap3 works just fine with you, only 8, you should definitely add response.js, html5shiv and the latest version of jQuery

I tested this for so long in localhost.It will never work in localhost, Jut will upload the same folder to your server and then verify that it will work 100%.

Include these two scripts:

 <script type='text/javascript' src="http://html5shiv.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/html5.js"></script> <script type='text/javascript' src="//cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/respond.js/1.4.2/respond.js"></script> 

Then use jQuery LESS version than 2 (jQuery 2 ++ no longer supports IE8)

Finally, use a web server (local or other) to view your site, because response.js does not play well with the file: // protocol

Found this in another thread, but returned your jquery to version 1.11.2 instead of 2+.

To solve the problem on the same server, you place the compatibility files of your site (html5shiv and Respond) and download the boot files again and do not use the CDN. Otherwise, compatibility with IE 8 will not work.
