How to resize images in a telephone conversation

I want to make some thumbnails for captured images. I think this improves the performance of the application (now my application uses original images and looks slower and slower if there are a lot of images on the page). But I do not understand how to resize images more than once. I know about resizing the phone’s image (as an option) when taking photos from the camera, but it doesn’t work when I get the image from the image gallery and it doesn’t work more than once. I want to have 32x32 image, image and 150x150 image in original size.

PS I found the image resizer plugin, but it does not work in version 3.0 of the phone.

Does anyone know how to make this function?

I found that the PhoneGap-Image-Resizer plugin was forked, and now it can work for 3.0 as well. The plug is located here
