We have a great solution with many service links, and every time we need to update the service link, some .datasource files are generated. The problem is that these files have very long names and interrupt the build process because the server that is building the solution cannot handle such long names. Since now we need to open the servcice link and manually delete the .datasource files. We do not have permission to set rules that block files from being scanned, which means that update service links occasionally destroy the assembly.
We use TFS 2008 and build the project in VS 2012
Is there a way to turn off auto-generation of these files?
