Application Development for Sony Bravia

I just bought a Sony Bravia Internet TV. And as a developer (just a web developer), I want to try to develop an application for my TV. But I can’t find a tutorial or an introduction on how to develop an application for Sony Bravia TV, except for the Sony Google TV and the Javascript SDK for the Japanese. Unfortunately, I do not know the Japanese.

Do you have an English tutorial Sony Bravia TV Development?

Perhaps you are evaluating this fictitious question. But I need it. :)

You can develop applications for the Opera TV Store, as suggested by Tonnie. But your application will not be available on your TV home screen, like other native applications (media player, YouTube, etc.).

If you are creating an application in the Opera TV store, you first need to open the Opera Store application, and then find your application in the "My Applications" section. Using this method, you can create HTML5-based applications where you must host HTML pages on an external server. There is no SDK device, and you cannot use the built-in functions.

If there is only a way to create native applications similar to YouTube, and Skype has already done this, then it will be better, and we can use our own functions, such as playing AVI or FLV files.

If this is a new Bravia TV, it will likely use Opera. For more information on application development, go to http://dev.opera.com/tv

Based on the https://developer.sony.com/develop/tvs/ graph, only supported HTML5 applications supported the model. My new TV and Blu-ray player seem to support Google Cast.

“The HTML5 development kit for Sony TVs and home entertainment systems is currently only available to selected partners, but if you have a great application idea, we recommend that you contact us. Explain your idea and tell us about yours. We will sign the NDA with selected partners and then we’ll give you more detailed specifications of our platform. We will also provide integration support to ensure compatibility with all our HTML5 compatible products. In addition, for limited selected partners it could It’s offering premium features.
