Browse the files created on the device, by the iOS app I'm developing, on the workstation?

I am developing an iOS application that creates files on a device, for example. with NSKeyedArchiver .

During Android development, you can view the device’s file system when it connects to your workstation via USB, for example, to help troubleshoot your application.

However, for IOS, I do not see anything like this under Organizer in Xcode to help me view the files created by my application from a workstation. Googling "ios browse device files", "iphone view files", etc. Discloses solutions for jailbroken devices, but not for conventional devices designed for development.

How can I view files on a device created by the iOS application that I am developing?

In Xcode Organizer, go to the "Device Summary" tab. Find your application in the list and click the disclosure triangle. Below it, you will see the "Application Data" icon. Click the down arrow to load the data and it will offer you to save it somewhere.

In Xcode 5, listed under your device in Organizer, click "Applications" and you will see "Data Files in the Sandbox" at the bottom of the window.

In Xcode 6, go to "Window" - "Devices", select a device, select the application name in "Installed applications", click "Settings", then select "Download container". In Finder, double-click on the package and select "Show." contents of the package.

In Xcode 6, open the Devices window:

Step 1

Then select the application (in the "Installed Applications"), and then click the gear icon and select "Download Container".

Step 2

Please note that you can view the contents of the loaded .xcappdata container by right-clicking on it and select "Show package contents"
