Apple: Do affiliate links really earn money for in-app purchases?

Recently, Apple (within the last month or two) has made many changes to its affiliate program. Can you answer this question: do affiliate links really earn money for in-app purchases?

Example: will there be an affiliate link to a free application, which will then lead to in-app purchases in this application to receive a commission for the owner of the link?

Thanks in advance,

The short answer is yes - in-app purchases can earn affiliate commissions. However, there are a few technical details.

With the new platform (PHG, which took LinkShare and DGM on October 1), only in application purchases from the application that was indicated in your affiliate link will be eligible for commissions.

Earlier, and still with Tradedoubler, in-app purchases from any app are eligible for a commission.

It is also important to indicate that the branch window (how long the membership lasts) is 72 hours for LinkShare, DGM and Tradedoubler, while 24 hours for PHG.

SKStoreProductParameterAffiliateToken

The value of this token is an NSString instance representing the identifier of the partner that you want to use for any purchase made through a view controller.

Sounds like you can use this.
