How do you recognize someone soundcloud userid?

I literally look all over the place and can't figure out how to find someones userid that I can use inside my embed code. Does anyone know how to find out?

Give Up What is my SoundCloud user_id? from timpietrusky :

If you need another user's user ID, you must have a permalink (containing the username). You can then use the / resolve endpoint from the API to get your data, including the identifier

If you have a soundcloud username and just need to find the identifier (I used it to get the RSS feed for another user): go to the soundcloud page (for example: https://soundcloud.com/50_cent ), right-click and browse the source code, find the identifier (for example: soundcloud: // users: 1548017). What is your user id: 548017

This works with common usernames. How can I get a user id that has a special character? for example, the username "puderzucker_" does not work with this technique. Soundcloud gives this user the identifier "puderzucker-2". But the user can still log in with "username_" ?! Soundcloud seems to, for example, “-3” after their usernames if there are more users with the same name and ends with a special character. How can I get user IDs?

First of all, use the Help / Solution documentation for an up-to-date solution.

 http://api.soundcloud.com/resolve?url=http://soundcloud.com/USER_NAME&client_id=YOUR_CLIENT_ID

Replace USER_NAME with the username from the regular SoundCloud link, for example https://soundcloud.com/USER_NAME , and your application client ID. Note: there is no longer .json in /resolve .
