Ics file - Cannot open attached .ICS file in iOS7

My application creates an ICS file and sends it as an attachment to an email like mimeType:@"text/calendar" .

Everything worked perfectly in iOS6. If the device has iOS7, the attached .ICS file to email does not open.

iOS6 - opens the attached file. iOS7 - Do not open the attached file.

Windows 7 Exchange - file open and great work.

Any suggestions?

After debugging and comparing the sample ICS format, I found that iOS7 does not output the multi-line part of the description to the ICS file. I changed the description to just one line (without any new string characters, see below). iOS 7 began to recognize the file and is happy to open it. I am still learning how to add multiple lines of description because it displays in the telephoto email window. Strange, but at least to know what causes the problems.

Late answer, I know, but try changing the MIME type to

 text/v-calendar

Just checked it on an iOS7 device and it seems to work
