IOS7 table index displays as a white bar

I am trying to set up a table index, but it appears as a white panel on the right. I use a storyboard. Does anyone know what is going on? Thanks

Found my problem. With iOS7, you have the option to set sectionIndexBackgroundColor. It turns out he worked all the time.
