Failed to load file or assembly "DotNetOpenAuth.AspNet" or one of its dependencies

I have an Asp.net project, and in the specified web.config projects I have

(already followed corrections from another post)
but at runtime i get

  Could not load file or assembly 'DotNetOpenAuth.AspNet' or one of its dependencies.  The located assembly manifest definition does not match the assembly reference.  (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)

When I open the properties of my project and go to refrences, I see that there is a DotNetOpenAuth.Core entry, a DotNetOpenAuth.OAuth entry, a DotNetOpenAuth.OpenId entry, a DotNetOpenAuth.OpenId entry, a DotNetOpenAuth.OpenId and a DotNetOpenAuth.OpenId.RelyingParty and a DotNetOpenAuth.OpenId.RelyingParty . and they are all set to Copy Local = true. What could be wrong?

I had the same error. It is possible that one of the links you added is missing. all you have to do is reset the links and add them manually. or copy your code into a new solution that will work. I copied my code into a “new empty project” and ran it. then he had no problems.

Open a new empty project with new classes and aspx and copy only your code into it, it should work.

I changed the versions to 4.1.0.0 and it worked for me.
