I want to extend the standard doclet provided by Javadoc5.0 to change its HTML output. For example, I want to replace the keyword “implemented” or “interfaces” with another word whenever it occurs in the generated JavaDoc HTML code. All other elements should not change. How can i achieve this? I do not want to change the HTML source after creating the Javadoc! What classes should I extend? Have a useful online tutorial? I was looking for tutorials, but found only this http://docs.oracle.com/javase/1.5.0/docs/guide/javadoc/doclet/overview.html , which doesn’t help me much, since the examples do not apply to the standard doclet. Found another source http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/documentation/index-137483.html#customizingjavadoc , but I can not apply it to JavaDoc5.0. Can someone provide a useful example? Thanks!
Have you seen Doxygen? Doxygen
It can be a great javadoc alternative, and it's free and customizable. I think this can help you. I hope to help you.
