The Google Compute Engine ad mentions RHEL, SUSE, and FreeBSD support. When creating virtual machines, only Debian and CentOS are available. Is FreeBSD support supported or do I need to create my own disk image to get started?
FreeBSD is now supported by the service, but images are not provided by Google. Paul Rashidi posted detailed steps to create a FreeBSD image .
Later in the same topic, Dave Cottluber shares the tool that he created to simplify installation .
