Azure endless redirect loop in Chrome

I have a MVC5 Azure website that worked fine last night. Now, it seems he is stuck in an endless loop of forwarding while trying to enter through chrome. It works great with Edge and FireFox. For authentication, Azure AD is used. Redirection occurs from the main site to login.microsoftonline.com.

Sometimes, some bad tokens used by AAD can be cached by the browser. They are used instead of valid tokens and are not updated. Clearing the browser cache (Ctrl-Shift-Delete in Chrome) usually allows this.

I had this problem with one of my Azure web applications that served traffic through http.

The solution for me was to disable the merge cookie.

If I had an application in which it was necessary to maintain a user session on 1 server, I would have to reactivate the affinity cookie, but since this caused me (intermittent) problems, I would also cause all traffic to https, as it seems more successful setting for use with affinity cookies.

this link was really useful and excellent reference information: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/disabling-arrs-instance-affinity-in-windows-azure-web-sites/
