If you wrote it recently, I hope the code is still fresh in your mind.
In this case, I would recommend grabbing the release notes and start reading back until I find the new feature that you used.
For most of my code snippets, backward compatibility stops at the point where ~ not resolved as output, where sort has only one possible output argument. Or where rng did not exist yet. I would consider at least these points, since they represent significant changes.
If you do not want to try many runs for different versions: just make an assumption. If it works in the old version and in the new version, it is very likely that it will also work on all versions between them. If this is a one-time question and the code is easy to run, but you just donβt want to get the old version of matlab, you can ask for Mathworks support and ask them to try it.
Sidenote: If you are concerned only with the accuracy of the syntax, maybe digging mlint older versions of mlint rather than full installations is enough?
