Use xmllint in cygwin

I use cygwin on a windows 8 machine. When I print

$ xmllint --format something.xml

It says: - bash: xmllint: command not found

How to use xmllint with cygwin? Are there any other alternatives?

Search package

 cygcheck -p xmllint.exe$

Result

 Found 1 matches for xmllint.exe$ x86_64/libxml2/libxml2-2.9.1-1

Then install

 setup-x86_64 -qP libxml2

Your best bet is to install all CygWin, not just the default packages. Then you do not need to worry about possibly missing programs.

Disk space is cheap, you need to spend time figuring out which package contains no programs :-)

If you need to pick and choose, you can find the executable here . Based on a quick search, it is available in Libs/libxml2 .
