Chrome Developer Tools: direct editing error

I experience strange behavior with the Chrome developer tools that started after I believe after the last update (I use version 33.0.1750.117 m)

When doing live editing in the stylesheet, if the background is white, then I can edit small ones, but if the background color changes and a yellow warning sign appear on the css tab, then when I edit, the characters disappear or the cursor moves to the middle of the word that I I'm typing. This is done several times. Almost 3-4 times per word. It is a nightmare to use it now.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I tried to change some settings, but did not succeed. Thanks!

I found a fix that stops stuttering, but you also lose autocomplete.

This is better than stuttering, in my opinion.

• Click the settings icon (gear) in chrome devtools

• Go to the Subheading Sources

3. Uncheck the AutoFill box.

Turns out auto-completion was a red herring.

To fix this error, clear the Automatically reload generated CSS check box.
