How to disable IntelliJ Spring configuration validation for a directory?

Since I upgraded to Intellij IDEA 13, during startup I received a warning message:

Spring Configuration Check Unmapped Spring configuration files found. Please configure/setup Spring facet for modules: ...

When I click on the link to determine which files are not showing, I see that they are under the bin directory.

Is there a way I can tell IntelliJ not to warn me about files below bin ?

The bin folder should be excluded from the search because it contains compilation output.

Locate the bin folder in the project view , right-click it, go to the labels directory , click excluded .

If you just want to turn off notifications, do the following:

 IntelliJ > Preferences > Notifications > Spring Configuration Check > No popup

Or in IntelliJ IDEA 14

 IntelliJ > Preferences > Appearance & Behavior > Notifications > Spring Configuration Check > No popup

In IntelliJ IDEA 15, this has changed again:

 IntelliJ > Preferences > Editor > Inspections > Deselect Spring checkbox

Cory Klein provides a working solution, but the path has been changed to

 File -> Settings (Ctrl + Alt + S) -> Appearance & Behavior -> Notifications -> Spring Configuration Check > No popup
