Yes, each network usually has its own account. And yes, it can take a very long time to get paid. At least, what I read on blogs when I was doing my research. I think that the network may not survive if the news comes out that they have not paid earnings, therefore ... the truth may be somewhere in between.
Personally, I like the question because it is very difficult for me to find good information. And many times it was the developers who set everything up.
