Can I manually navigate using turbolinks in Rails?

Question

I have an html table with rows and a jQuery handler on click.
The click event fires window.location.href , which triggers a full page refresh.

Is there any way to manually call turbolinks to retrieve the page? Should I use PJAX instead?

From the Turbolinks Readme :

You can use Turbolinks.visit (path) to go to the URL through Turbolinks.
