Which devices support Android Sensor Batching?

KitKat introduced batch sensor processing , but I could not find a list of devices that support this. In particular, I'm interested in whether it supports the HTC One HTC 2013.

Is there a resource (community supported?) That lists supported devices?

If HTC One does not have a batch sensor installation, are there any good low-power gps tracking libraries? I would really like not to write my own geofencing code (I assume that this will be the most energy-efficient way to track the location of the phone)

thanks

Using this code:

SensorManager mgr = (SensorManager) getSystemService(SENSOR_SERVICE); Sensor accelerometer = mgr.getDefaultSensor(Sensor.TYPE_ACCELEROMETER); int fifoSize = accelerometer.getFifoReservedEventCount(); if (fifoSize > 0) { //Device supports batched sensor updates }

in the operation that implemented the SensorEventListener. I found that the following devices support batch sensor updates:

  • Nexus 5 is running Android 4.4.4
  • Nexus 6 is running Android 5.0.1
  • Samsung Galaxy S5 (G900F variant in Europe) running Android 5.0
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005) running Android 4.4.2
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910F) running Android 4.4.4
  • Nexus 5X is running Android 6.0
  • Nexus 6P running Android 7.0
  • Google Pixel runs Android 7.1
  • Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935F) runs on Android 6.0.1
  • Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F) running Android 6.0.1
  • Sony Xperia XZ is running Android 6.0.1
  • Oneplus 3T is running Android 6.0.1
  • Samsung Galaxy S8 (SM-G950F) running Android 7.0
  • LG G6 (LG-H870) running Android 7.0
  • Sony Xperia XZ Premium (G8141) running Android 7.1.1
  • Oneplus 5 running Android 7.1.1
  • Google Pixel 2 runs Android 8.0

and this is not so:

  • Moto G 1st gen 4G (XT1039) running Android 4.4.4
  • HTC One M8 running Android 5.0.1
  • Nexus 9 running Android 5.0.1
  • Nvidia Shield tablet with Android 5.0.1
  • Nexus 4 is running Android 5.0.1
  • Sony Xperia Z running Android 4.4.2
  • Sony Xperia Z3 with compact control Android 5.0.2
  • One Plus Two is running Android 5.1.1
  • LG G5 SE (LG-H840) running Android 6.0.1
  • Amazon Kindle Fire 7 (7th Gene) runs Android 5.1.1

Sorry :( I will be updating with more devices when I receive my hands.
